We offer our home for occasional rentals from Je through August for 1 to 2 weeks at a time. It is located 5 short blocks from the harbor and just 200 feet from the ocean. Rentals are for a minimum of one week. Please do not ask about shorter periods.

The bright, airy house is meticulously maintained and features 3 bedrooms, including a large master suite, 2 baths, a spacious living room with wood-burning fireplace, a large open kitchen, and a greenhouse dining room, all on one level.

The living and dining areas and master suite all face the pool and deck through walls of glass and sliding doors, creating a wonderful setting for indoor/outdoor living.

The spacious kitchen has stone coters and high-quality appliances, and is fully equipped for gourmet cooking and serving. Whether you are an accomplished chef or a casual cook, you will enjoy the space and comfort.

The master suite consists of a bedroom with a king-size bed, a stylish bath with a glass corner shower and stone coters, a dressing area, office and ladry. The second bedroom has a queen-size bed, the third has twin beds, and the two share an updated bath with pedestal sink and stall shower. There is ample closet space throughout.

The 16 by 32 foot pool is set amid 3000 square feet of multilevel decking, beautifully planted with flowers and herbs (which you may use in your cooking) and fully fenced for privacy. There is a large table with umbrella for outdoor dining, a seating area with a retractable awning, and comfortable chaise loges for relaxing by the pool. This enormous space is one of the largest pool and deck areas in the Pines.

About Fire Island:

Fire Island is a barrier island off the southern shore of Long Island, approximately 30 miles long and ¼ to ½ mile wide. It consists of a number of small commities, separated by national seashore, and is connected to mainland Long Island by ferries (a 20 minute trip).

There are no cars on Fire Island. Within each commity, everything is accessible on foot, and other commities can be reached by water taxi.

About Fire Island Pines:

“The Pines” is the most elegant commity on Fire Island, with approximately 600 homes on large lots in a setting of incomparable natural beauty, with one of the most magnificent ocean beaches in the world, and a lush, heavily wooded landscape.

Situated about 50 miles from New York City, the Pines is reached via ferry from Sayville, Long Island, which is accessible by car or Long Island Railroad.

The population of the Pines consists mainly of gay male singles and couples, lesbians (mostly couples) and straight couples. There is a mixture of owner-occupied houses and group shares.

The center of social life is the beautiful harbor, where all stores, restaurants, bars, and nightclubs are situated. Another social outlet is the many fd-raising events, held in private homes, that are available to all. Groceries, wines and liquors are available at the harbor. The Pines Pantry is well stocked with gourmet food items along with the standard groceries, prime meats, fish and seafood, and a deli. The Pines Liquor Shop has a huge selection of wines and liquors in all price ranges.
