Room: You’d be subletting the largest room in the apartment (9.5 Feet x 9.5 Feet, plus a bay at the window where a desk can go). Perfect for a full bed + desk setup, but can also fit a queen bed. Room can be lightly furnished, however you will need your own mattress.
Apartment: Fully furnished living/dining room and kitchen, all stocked—ideal for someone with minimal furniture. We keep things relatively tidy and maintain a simple chore chart that everyone follows. The apartment is 2 full floors (Basement for loging + plenty of storage space. Grod level for bedrooms, kitchen, and dining.) There is also a backyard we occasionally use to host.
Location: 3-minute walk to the nearest L train, 15 minutes to G, J & M stops. Walking distance to great local spots like Baby Blues, Brooklyn Ball, Win Son, and plenty of Bushwick bars and nightlife.
Roommates: Two guys, 31M and 25M. 31M is a multidisciplinary artist who works at a nearby ceramics studio and the garment district. He’s available most days if you need help throughout the house, though spends most of his time outside the home with friends/girlfriend. 25M works from home full time for a non-profit. We generally keep the space pretty quiet, though we enjoy occasional gatherings in our basement and backyard. We love chatting about books, good TV, films, etc. and would be great to keep up that vibe.
What we’re looking for: Someone who works primarily outside the home and enjoys a balanced living situation—social but respects the generally calm atmosphere of the space.
