Hey everyone out there,

We have a sweet room for rent. Open to both long term or short term.
It’s on the top floor of our building(4th floor walk-up). We are in eastern Bed-Stuy. The block is on one of the main/busiest streets in the area, Malcolm X Blvd. Many of the adjacent blocks are among the most beautiful and serene in the city.
It’s $1300/month+$25/month for internet=$1325total. All other utilities included (excluding AC, which is an additional $25/month if you use it in the summer). There is a nice floor AC already in there you can use if you don’t have one!
The room itself is located in the center of the building, yet as you can see has two windows for daylight. The room is about medium sized. It’s pretty quiet because it’s not overlooking that busy/noisy main drag. The room has a modestly sized closet. There is some additional storage space in the apartment if needed. The room is directly next to the bathroom, which you would share with one other person, me. The other roommate has their own private bathroom. The apartment itself is relatively large(4 bedroom), as you can see from the living room/kitchen shots.
As for your roommates, there would be you, myself(40 y/o male musician/student/bike courier), and one other 30ish super chill female(2+you=3 in total). (COUPLES NEED NOT APPLY)
You=Super chill. . .that’s the name of the game here. We are respectful, considerate, mindful, laid back people, and we would need you to be the same. No anal-retentiveness. . ..Open commication on all issues concerning the apartment is paramot, and that often leads to derstanding and good vibes. We like to keep the apartment neat enough, but not o.c.d. style. You would be in your late 20’s-30’s(but def open to older!), and have a reliable source of income. Mature, fdamentally kind, civilized, mature adults only please. We would prefer you have a decent amot of experience living with roommates (dorms don’t cot), with a solid derstanding of real-world mores and written rules, i.e.-common sense/consideration. We like to keep the place relatively quiet, keeping our social lives out of the house for the most part(not to say it’s not totally cool to have a friend over here and there, of course). . .this is our sanctuary. Gots to have one in this town. If you are looking to frequently entertain parties of guests, this isn’t a match. Please only apply if that is the kind of environment you want to live in, not one you will have to adjust to. That doesn’t mean you can’t make any noise and have to tip-toe arod, but the room is best for someone who works a lot/is a student and is a naturally quiet person who generally is not having hours-long loud phone conversations and doesn’t generally have people over. We are simply quiet people. If you smoke anything, please keep it to a minimum (we can tolerate small amots) or go outside if it’s a lot. That’s how we need our living space to be, and we want to keep it that way. Thanks!!
If this sods like a situation you would be happy living in, please tell us a bit about yourself, i.e. age, job (proof of recent income is required), passions/hobbies, lifestyle, etc. Come by and check it out!
Thanks all!
PS-Any or all of the furniture pictured in the photos without the bed can stay or go, up to you. The Queen-sized bed w/black wood frame in one of the pics is in there now and it can stay or go up to you (Although I would prefer it stay- It’s def in excellent condition.)
PSS-I smoke inside occasionally(not at all excessively). Usually it’s by a window or outside, but if you’re really sensitive to it, you should prob just forget it.
Looking forward to hearing from you. Take care and good luck!!!
