So my situation is: I’ve just signed for a new place to move into with my girlfriend, so I need to sublet my old apartment.
My current lease is up on Je 1st, and my management company is giving me the option of subletting my apartment for the remainder of that time. The new tenant can then sign a new lease of their own with my management company from Je 1st on.
The apartment is right at the crux of Clinton Hill, Bed-Stuy, and Crown Heights, which really puts you in the middle of the action in this area of Brooklyn. For groceries, bars, restaurants, etc., there are tons of places within just a 2-block radius. It’s also a 3 minute walk to the Franklin C stop. The block is quaint, quiet, and beautiful, with a great block association and neighbors who’ve lived there for decades.
My current rent is $3,795, which is definitely der market for the area, and for this caliber of apartment. It’s two bedrooms, two full baths, 10+ foot ceilings, giant windows, wood floors throughout, and on the 2nd floor of a beautiful brownstone, so it’s on the same floor as the top of the stoop (which means you essentially own the stoop. Summer stoops have never been better). And it’s also next door to the commity garden.
All of the appliances and finishings are updated, it’s got central air, and it even comes with a built-in wine fridge! It always feels fresh and open in here. I’m definitely going to miss it. I’ve been here for almost 4 years, and I’m only moving out to get a significantly bigger space.
In terms of a move-out date, I’m flexible. I’ll have the keys for my new place now, and I’m planning to move out as quickly as I can. I’m targeting getting out of the apartment by February 1st at the latest, but I can be flexible if people are looking to move in earlier.
Please let me know if you’re interested! Happy to hop on a call whenever. Thank you!
