Available AUGUST 1, 7, or 15, for school year (August-May), or for 1 year (August-August). Typically rented to a visiting scholar or professor. 1 person only, sorry, no couples.

FURNISHED. Fully furnished and decorated; includes sheets, pillows, and towels, and dishes if desired. 1 queen bed, dresser, desk, misc. tables, large comfortable reading chair, dining area for 2 persons.
NO FULL KITCHEN. There’s a food prep area with refrigerator, separate freezer, microwave, hot water boiler and Keurig. Gas grill outdoors in warmer months. You may not use a hotplate in the apt.; there is no open cooking allowed. Most people buy frozen meals from Trader Joe’s and keep them in the standalone freezer.
ON 20 ACRES WITH PRIVATE DECK. Private deck overlooking 20 serene acres of field and trees. A mown path for walking arod the field, 1/2 mile loop. NEAR BLACK DIAMOND TRAIL and TAUGHANNOCK PARK. It is not a basement apartment.
MOWING AND PLOWING INCLUDED. Tenant must shovel own path to tenant entry when it snows. Driveway is plowed and lawn is mowed by landlord. Park in a “barnport”.
ONE QUIET PERSON ONLY. Sorry, no pets. No smoking allowed anywhere on the property. This is a scent-free household, no scented ladry detergent, bath products, sprays, or perfumes; no candles or incense.
CAR NEEDED. There is no public transportation to this area. Located 10 mins. from downtown Ithaca. Drive up the west side of the lake, north of Island Health Ithaca. Park in covered barnport.
The apartment has its own entrance (door on the deck, 4 steps up), but is attached to the main house, which is occupied by 1 quiet person.
Please just bring clothes and books, etc.; this is not a long-term housing situation, and it is fully furnished.
LEASE REQUIRED. First month’s rent and security deposit required at lease signing. References.
