The property is located on a gentle depth beach which means the adjacent lake bottom starts shallow (usually knee deep) and has a gentle downward slope with no dangerous drop offs. The lake bottom has a solid smooth rock bottom–not soft murky silt and not tall sea-weedy. Located in a wide protective cove where the waters remain relatively calm when the wind direction is from the NE, E, SE, S, or SW. Since the cove lake water is shallow, it warms up reasonably quick for swimming and water play.
Fishing is generally really good in the immediate area. Small mouth bass, rock bass, perch, blue gill, and sfish are the more prolific varieties.
Because of the cove geography, fast boats and watercraft that tour the lake perimeter, according to our observations, seldom come in near shore making this a somewhat more protective area for wading, swimming, canoeing, paddle boating, kayaking, etc. But you must always remain vigilant and watchful for exceptions to the rule for your personal safety.
