1 room available starting Feb 24!
We are looking for a replacement roommate starting Feb 24 for the LARGEST room available in our 3 BR / 1.5 BA SPACIOUS apartment in the heart of Crown Heights. The apartment is a short walk or bus ride to A Express train on Nostrand Avenue stop.
The best thing about this apartment is that there are 1.5 Bathrooms!! I, as the third roommate will be spending half the week at my mother’s apartment in Upper Manhattan as she is ill, and I am taking care of her. I am likely out of the apartment for half the month or so. So likely it will primarily be only two roommates sharing the large space and the two bathrooms in the apartment.
ALL utilities – heat, hot water, cooking gas, electricity, internet are included in the price. If staying throughout the summer, this includes a window AC and all electricity charges. Will also cover share of some basic household essentials such as TP and cleaning products, dish soap etc…
Female roommates only. Considerate, commicative, and open/respectful would be a must. I am Sarah the leaseholder and the second long-term roommate is Lana, a musician/creative. Totally fine to bring over friends/partners on occasion as long as it is not random strangers, and this does not become an additional roommate situation. We are a quiet, clean and respectful household. Each person is out doing their own thing
The room available is the largest in the apartment and the outgoing roommate was a foreign Intern/Student working in fashion from England! She is going back home at the end of February, so we are finding her replacement. This room has two large windows and comes fully furnished with full-size (double) bed, desk, chair, small dresser and shelf and has a tall, deep closet in the room.
We would love a medium to long-term stay, possibly 5-6 months + but a shorter-term stay may be considered.
Tons of amazing restaurants on Nostrand Avenue, ladry and supermarket. We are a short walk to the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens and Prospect Park.
I am currently not working a 9-5 schedule and Lana works evenings, so there won’t be a need to use the showers/bathrooms at the same time. If you do have a 9-5 schedule, that would work perfectly here.
Okay the only downside of this apartment is that it is on the 4th floor, so it is a walk-up building without elevator (this is Pre-war building so is larger than most new construction and has 9-foot ceilings). The positive of being on the top floor is that there is no one walking on top of us and we get tons of natural night as we are on the TOP floor. The apartment is super quiet in a super quiet building.
Please reply with your contact information such as email or phone number and tell us a little bit about yourself. Hope to hear from all who may be interested.
