I am seeking a friendly roommate for my just renovated apartment.
Your personal area would be two adjacent furnished rooms connected by a door, totaling 210 square feet. You would have full access to the rest of the 1030 square foot apartment. I don’t care if you’re male or female.
The apartment is in Morningside Heights and is less than 100 yards from the 1 train subway stop.
Apartment
Third floor apartment. Your personal areas would be two roughly equal size rooms, each with closets arod 6 square feet. There is indirect light year rod and direct slight in the summer. The rooms are furnished except for three bookcases that you could use or ask me to remove.
The apartment has refinished or new wood floors throughout.
The bathroom and kitchen have been completely renovated and the kitchen appliances are new and excellent. There is an excellent clothes washer and an excellent clothes dryer in the kitchen. Substantial renovation work has been done throughout the rest of the apartment and it is well furnished.
There is no air conditioning and there is electric capacity for no more than two air conditioners. You could install them in your rooms but then I’d charge extra for electricity.
Rent otherwise includes electricity, heat, hot water, and Wi-Fi.
Living situation
I am looking for a friendly roommate. Hopefully, we can chat about various things.
Overnight guests are fine but I ask no more than three times a week. I am going to rent to one person and not two.
I am seeking someone who will systematically help out with cleaning.
There will be no television in the living room or other common areas. You can watch in your room. You can watch in the kitchen while cooking, if you have a laptop computer to watch.
The apartment will be neither super quiet nor super noisy. The kitchen will be kept quite clean. The rest of the apartment moderately clean.
I am seeking someone who will be here for at least a year.
Neighborhood
The apartment is 100 yards from Sakura Park and about 150 yards from Riverside Park. There are various eateries and bars scattered nearby. Perhaps the best independent book shop in New York City, Book Culture at 536 West 112th St., is a 20 minute walk. Harlem is two blocks away.

I am a male who works full time and currently working at another site four days a week.
I like to read, listen to music and cook.
