Looking for a roommate, preferably a female in their thirties-forties, for a large furnished private bedroom in a furnished 2-bedroom apartment next to Fort Greene park.
The room is large, very quiet/facing the back yard, has tons of natural light (3 windows), on the first floor of a townhouse with very high ceilings (parlor level). There’s a separate closet outside the room (each of 2 roommates has their own) and a large space for another one next to the room. My bedroom is on the opposite side of the apartment (facing the street) so there’s a sense of privacy and separate spaces.
It’s a private room, one of 2 bedrooms in 2-Bed 1 Bath apartment. The room will be furnished; the bed in the photos is twin-sized (to give you an idea). It can have curtains in the middle (I liked the idea of separating the sleeping area from the rest of the room) but can be designed the way you want it. I can help with some temporary items if needed (ie air mattress, desk etc).
The location is amazing: it is proper Fort Greene, right by the park, from the nicer side 🙂 Commuting is super convenient: there are multiple subways close by (Fulton G, Nevins 2, 3, 4, 5, Dekalb or Barclays B, Q, D, R, Lafayette C, Hoyt F), as well as BAM, Barclays, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, 24-hour Mr Mango arod the corner, many cool coffee shops, cafes and restaurants, CitiBike, 2 bridges to Manhattan etc. It’s a safe and beautiful neighborhood.
The two bedrooms are on the opposite sides of the apartment. The bathroom is shared with one other roommate (me). I like to keep things clean, am a nice and considerate roommate.
The kitchen and the living area are fully set up with furniture and equipment. There’s a dishwasher, basic coffee machine, blender, air fryer, microwave, large-size fridge, Berkey water filter etc. There is an Alexa and lights can be controlled by it or by regular switches.
There’s an adorable cat, Bonnie, so no other pets. She is well-behaved, has an automatic litterbox and only uses it (no surprises and no smells). She’s cute and fny. Wait till you see her master plop and roll – that’s how she greets people coming home.
I’m looking for a professional person who doesn’t bring the party home, who is clean, responsible, respectful of the home. I am female so prefer another female although I had some lovely male roommates over the years so am open to that option. The room is available starting July 1, 2025. First month and 1 month deposit to move in, shared utilities/shared chores like cleaning (cleaning after oneself + deeper clean every 2 weeks). I can do a virtual tour of the place over a video call if you seem to be a right fit.
